Ah, that would be rubella! LOL Tell her have a titer check first. That

will tell her whether she's ever had it or not.

Rubeola and rubella are two different things. Rubeola is another word for

measles.

I was just going to say it might be another name for either rubella or

measles! LOL However, didn't she say she checked out for measles???

yes, you are correct... I read it too fast, plus, I was thinking that there

was a thread about Rubella...not rubeola...so,...that's my mistake.

I already knew the two are different and had two different names each.

How about Roseola? Is that related to measles? Many of the other mothers on a

bulletin board I frequent have said their babies have now or have had it

recently.

Yes,they are related,Roseola is known as the " three day measles " . Most babies

get it sometime in the first 18 months. All of mine have gotten it the later

part of the first year. My dd hadn't left the house in three weeks and she

got it...I was baffled by that!! I had no idea how she got it when she hadn't

been anywhere at all. She was 13 months when she got it.

Is it suppossed to be roseola measles or is there something else? I worked

in a daycare and a baby got roseola Measles which are just 3 days I believe.

My 13mo old just got over roseola. It was no big deal for him but I've read that

it is the #1 cause of fever related seizure. He had a fever for 3 days (highest

was about 103) then one day that he seemed normal, then 3-4 days of a rash. I

believe it is often referred to as 3 day measles and is less severe that actual

measles.
