Guest guest
Hi all, I am the director for Treatment Information Development for DAAIR, a buyer's club in the US for micronutrients, herbs and some pharmaceuticals. I've been an AIDS activist for over 11 years. My work has been basically trying to figure out what helps people to thrive and survive despite HIV/AIDS (and/or antiretroviral drug side effects at this point). I am planning to visit India this September and early October. The first part of my journey will be in Dharamsala, taking part in a 10-day intensive course in Tibetan medicine. I am very enthusiastic about this! At this time, I am considering extending the trip for a week or two more. I am very interested in both sharing the information that I have developed over the years with DAAIR as well as in understanding the needs of people with HIV/AIDS in India. As the former advocacy moderator for SAATHI, I hope to have a deeper understanding of the issues. Specifically, I am very interested in treatment interventions being used that represent the broad spectrum of healthcare in India, from the Tibetan work to the venerable Ayurvedic and Siddhi approaches. If you think you and I might both benefit from a visit to your organization, please contact me so I can plan my itinerary. Thanks very much for your consideration! M.
