Guest guest
I read many of the responses but i did not come across one for peanut butter. Peanut butter is not very good for you because of the hydrogenated fats. These clog the arteries. If you get peanut butter it is best to get one without hydrogenated oils. You can easily tell the non-hydrogenated oils because the oil will be sitting on the top. A good spoon can mix it all together. Also, make sure to get organic (no pesticides and often not genetically engineered). You may also want to try almond butter, or cashew butter. Personally, I could not tolerate the soy butter...but that was just my family's opinion. Guest guest
Hello Tonya and All, As I understand it, AOL is a very user friendly interface, but you have to pay for the ease in money, speed, and censorship. If you have a good computer and connection to the net, I suppose the " speed " is not much of an issue. It sounds like money is something of an issue, so you have to decide that for yourself. In the early days, AOL filtered everything pretty closely, but I believe that has changed quite a bit too, so probably not much of an issue. I would recommend a simple basic connection to the internet via your local isp. Set up Netscape (or Internet Explorer) for your web browser, download Eudora Light for your e-mail activities (It's free), and Free Agent for your usenet/newsgroup activities (also free), and mIRC for your chat client (also a free download). The only problem is installing and configuring these various clients. If you like AOL's instant messaging, you can find a very good alternative in ICQ (also a free download). If you are a news junkie, like me, you can download Free Agent's big brother " Agent " , for $30. If you want an elaborate email program, you might want to use Eudora, or Eudora Pro (but there are several other email clients to choose from depending on your preferences and needs). In fact, Agent comes with an integrated email client which is probably all most people would ever need. As I said before, the hard part is downloading, installation, and configuration (things that AOL makes soooooooo easy, but a tender trap of sorts. I like the independence of using a generic connection to my local isp (using Internet Explorer's " Dial-Up Networking " program), and then building my own set of " tools " (the clients) to navigate the internet. I am entirely self-taught. Currently using Netscape for www, Agent for news, The Bat for email, and mIRC for chat. The only one I'm not sure about is The Bat for email. It seems a little more elaborite (and therefore complicated), than I need. Agent's email program is really quite good, but I prefer to keep email, news, chat, and web separate. db Monday, April 10, 2000, 11:39:22 AM, you wrote: Cac> Hi everyone, Cac> Recently I have started shopping more organic & alternatively but Cac> wondered why peanut butter is not good for you. Guest guest
Tonya, Part of your subject header was cut off. It read, " peanut butter and cats " . One of my cats likes peanut butter. just about half a spoonful. Anyway, all I know is, you get what you pay for. But some people don't want to get all that much. There's also free internet access and email from Juno, netzero, Bestratenow, and probably others. Look to see how much capacity they give you: how much megabytes of storage to hold your mail; the max. number of mail recipients you can send to. Other than that, I'm not sure there's too much difference between the free services. I could be wrong. Tell your stepdad to fast. Maybe a patch over the eye while reading or watching TV might be good also?
