I think plantain is good also, unsure though...I'd have to look it up. Brightest Blessings, (MysticMoonWolf)
Guest guest
Hi Kim, Does it help to know I'm going through the same thing? My 5 year old daughter came down with them yesterday morning. I'm giving her oatmeal baths (oatmeal in a cloth or sock floating in the bath) and I made a strong tea of some herbs like echinacea, calendula and thyme and add about 1/4 cup to the bath water and just before she gets out I put about 1/8 of a cup of organic sunflower oil with a few drops of lavender essential oil in it in the water and scoop the water over her body to soften her skin. I had to use calamine last night because she was getting really itchy but today she's doing great. She takes a lot of suppliments to strengthen her immune system because she has scleroderma so we will see if it helps her get over her chicken pox easily or if the scleroderma makes it harder for her since her skin is already dry and itchy. Good luck Jodi Hoping it will all be over by Christmas :-) +AFs-Vaccinations+AF0- Cickhen Pox +AD4-From: +ACI-Kim B.+ACI- +ADw-Dolphinn+AEA-netcom.ca+AD4- +AD4- +AD4-My 4 year old daughter just recieved the chickhen pox (the natural version +AD4-not the immunization) and although she had quite a high fever last night she +AD4-is feeling fine now. Guest guest
> ....from 'homeopathy in epedemic diseases' by dorothy shepherd: Antimonium tart is almost a specific for CP. The patient is drowsy, perspires freely, there is nausea, the eruption is slow in coming out and this remedy will help accelerate. Sometimes complications w/ bronchitis. This remedy will rapidly break up the lung trouble. Mercurius may be required if the vesicles suppurate and discharge purulent matter, with great weakness, easy sweating, and the patient feels worse at night. Rhus tox has intense itching, restlessmess, and in many cases will make the eruption disappear rapidly. Sulpher may be needed where the patient is weak and prostrated, has no appetite, and is slow to recover. I feel for you both, jodi and kim - I know it isn't fun to see our young ones ill, but it IS a blessing! I can only hope that my child will have the oppurtunity to contract chicken pox naturally - for this disease may shift to the adults in the next generation - due to this silly varicella vaccine (argh!) > >Sending good thoughts your way! Guest guest
Thanks for the good thoughts Lana. I am very happy she is getting chickenpox out of the way and so far it hasn't been too bad. This means all three of my kids have had them and I hopefully won't have to think of them again! Guest guest
Thank you everyone for all the information. And I am glad that she has got them now when I am free to look after her and nothing else major going on. Although she did miss her Xmas party at playgroup today and will miss her school xmas party tomorrow she isn't to upset, she is more concerned with what is happening to her body. Good luck Jodi, my friend told me it's the second and third day that they really come out. I'm not too worried because she eats very well and I'm always telling her she is healthy and she doesn't eat much candy at all. I am very greatful that no one pointed out my spelling error (chicken). On another list one rude person totally insulted me for my spelling. I am glad you all are more mature than that. Thanks for all the suggestions, Kim Beckett
