I think that if people are concerned about the amount of mail then switching to the digest mode would be for them. Also, I like hearing the other side of the coin on these issues, and to see how they misinform so many. So, IMO I think that the list should stay as is. @>-------------Belinda aka SEWHAT357 -----------<@ owner---- mommy's milk and me @onelist.com BABYSLINGS by BELINDA and http://www.geocities.com/heartland/hollow/7345/index Certified Breastfeeding Counselor and mommy to Dorothy 8, 4 1/2, and Caleb 18mo.old. Guest guest
1st..I think you are doing a great job with this list! 2nd. I like the fact that you post pro and anti material ... if our goal is to inform we should not limit the information. 3rd. I like to listen (read) in on conversations between two people ... people often ask questions before I get the chance so I just await the response to them, although I think " short personal note " such as.... Thank you ... or a yes or no. Should be sent to the person directly. 4th. I think I is great that the list is going so well, however putting a limit on the number of members would be a good idea... I moderate an AP list and I have had to set a limit so that the list remains enjoyable to all the members. JMO

Guest guest
hi nicole, here's what i think: 1. yes, please continue to post those pro-vaccine stuff, cause how else are we able to know what awaits us when being confronted by a pro-vaccine dr.? i think it is very important to be informed about both sides of the issue, after all knowledge is power... 2. i'm kind of overwhelmed with the amount of posts, especially recently... i guess it would be a good idea if, especially those 'thank you' posts could be sent in private! i already get quite a few e-mails from people on the lists privately, and i'm happy to answer any questions they have, and my suggestion would be, if you have questions re. one post which is directed to one person, e-mail her/him directly rather than via the list. if the subject is very interesting or acute, then post it on the list, but otherwise, just continue the 'conversation' in private. that way, we won't have that many posts, and all the posts will be interesting to everyone on the list. 3. congratulations, nicole. it is due to your input and dedication that this list is growing so fast!!! i hope it continues this way. love and light claudia ---Mom2Q <mom2q@...> wrote: > > I have had some private e-mails sent to me about the list and I would like > to address them right now. Guest guest
I think that presenting both sides of an issue is important. If you don't know what and who you are up against, how can you prepare to talk with and educate others? Keep it up. Being relatively new to the Internet world and also to this list, I wasn't sure if it was the " done thing " to email someone directly from the list. If so, I think that would help cut down on the amount of postings each day. Also, I agree that some people may want to switch to the digest version. That is certainly an option. Well, that is my two-cents worth today. Thanks for a wonderful place of support and information. I have waited almost twenty years for something like this and it was worth waiting for! Guest guest
Would you like me to only post > " anti-vaccine " articles??? I just like to see both sides of the issue even >though I know that not vaccinating is the best thing for my family! > I agree, . I enjoy reading articles from both sides....it is only through keeping an open mind that we can become fully informed and confident in the decisions we make for our children. >4. There are days it takes up an hour to just download all my mail...yikes! Can you please transfer me to the digest mode. Thanks in advance! Guest guest
I also like to see the " pro " articles. We need to know what we're fighting, don't we? As to the " thank-you " type of post, I may have a useful suggestion. I used to subscribe to a homeopathic list (homeopathy@...). The list was set up in such a way that you could easily reply to only the writer of a post by clicking on " reply " . If you wanted to send your reply to the whole list, you click on " reply all " . I found this very useful. I understand Belinda's point in wanting to learn from all the posts, but I found that, on that other list, people were pretty good about sharing posts (ie. clicking " reply all " ) that would be of interest to all, even if it were directed specifically to one person. Did I explain that well enough to understand??? Anyway, I do thoroughly enjoy this list and am always learning something new.
