Guest guest
Can they DO that?!! Actually take your children away because you do not vaccinate? That being the ONLY reason? Is it the law that we HAVE to vaccinate our children ?-- or is it the law that they must be vaccinated IF they are to go to public school?.....my understanding is that it's the law only if you place them in a school. I've never thought that by just not vaccinating your children could be taken from you. Surely they'd have to prove that your were an unfit parent in other ways. (?) Guest guest
Yes, this can happen in my state. Not vaccinating your child is considered neglect. That is why they were at our home. They felt we were being neglectful. He told me straight out that he would remove my children from our home. Tina CLandis941@...
Guest guest
One more thing. My children do attend public school. In the beginning when Nate first went to school my exemption worked. Philosophical differences. Then when Olivia went to school the school nurse called and told me that it was no longer acceptable. I of course questioned her extensively. I told her I would contact my attorney and I would let her know. She asked what religion I was and where in the bible does it say what I believed - she needed to know passages and everything. Fortunately, my doctor has local radio program and is opposed to vaccines and he will right a medical exemption for anyone that submits a form to his office. Free of charge. Even if you are not a patient of his. Thanks, this helps ease the memories. Tina CLandis941@...
Guest guest
Tina, Who is you doctor? I'm trying to put together a list of supportive doctors and I think he would be a great addition to my list. If I could have his name, address and phone number I'd really appreciate it. Guest guest
Oh Tina!!! that must have been so difficult to go through--threatning to put your children in foster care...so in the end; what happened?? Did they accept your exemption letter, Where you allowed to keep them vaccine free? where they able to attend public schools? That seems so harsh, hope you had a good lawyer!!
