Hi all just got back from lovely holiday in the mountains in southern Spain and

I can't believe how much better I have been feeling when I compare it to other

holidays I've had over the last 20 years. I didn't get tired or start yawning at

9pm. I was able to go on long walks and not be out of breath and just generally

felt so good!!

I've been self medicating with NAX and Armour now for about 5 weeks or so and am

taking 1 NAX and 2 Armour daily and also 25mg Levothyroxine for 2 weeks

prescribed by my new endo (he told me to stop the self med stuff and trial the

levo but it's going to be hard to toe the line now and stop the Armour!)

Unfortunately I got bitten by a Horsefly at the end of the hol and I ended up

with an infection in the lymphatic system called Lymphangitis where a red track

was spreading up my arm from the bite and I had to go to A & E. I was put on

strong antibiotics which I think have temporarily made me feel a bit yukky and

tired again as well as the infection but have just finished the full course. I

was wondering whether I got this due to low immunity cos of adrenal fatigue?

(had NHS blood test couple weeks ago and got a letter saying I have to go for

full testing as my cortisol result was low).

Anyway, I hope to be back on track again soon and just have the dilemma as to

whether to stop the Armour as my endo asked?! Difficult one that - why should I

jump through hoops and risk being poorly again just cos NHS are USELESS when it

comes to treating thyroid disease and sympathetic doctors have their hands tied

and are having to watch their backs all the time.....It just gets so tiresome

and annoying - grrrr

Ending on a positive note tho - generally been feeling great! Thanks for all the

advice and help from here over last few weeks you've all been fantastic :)
