Guest guest
From shortly before our daughter was diagnosed with Hashimotos her hands and ankles along with other joints have been extremely painful At first increasing doses of Thyroxine would settle these but now they do not The Endo then prescribed T3 along with Thyroxine to deal with the poor memory /brain fog but insisted the aches and pains and recurrant flu like sessions were NOTHING to do with the thyroid He referred her to a Rheumatologist who initially strongly suspected she had Ankylosing Spondylitis However all tests and MRI for that and an entire host of other tests came back clear The only thing that was slightly down was Vit D Even her Antibody levels are not that high and are lower than when diagnosed a year ago He has now prescribed Vit D plus Prednisalone on a decreasing dose over next month on the theory that its the Auto Immune process causing the pain .. She has 11 of the 18 trigger points inflammed/painful She already gets myofascial treatments from a very very experienced Osteopath Not sure the prednisilone and Vit D is going to solve the problem since her Father has more than enough joint pains and he has been on 5 grains of Armour for 3 yrs along with Vit D and any kind of physio he has tried makes him worse not better Ideas anyone please Pat
