Hello,

these are my thyroid blood test results of the past:

1) 2006

- Free T4 13.0 pmol/L (8-22)

- Free T3 3.59 pmol/L (2.5-5.3)

- T.S.H. 0.82 mU/L (0.3-5.5)

2) May 2010

- Plasma free T4 level 11.2 pmol/L (12-22)

- Plasma free triiodothyronine level 3.9 pmol/L (3.1-6.8)

- Plasma TSH level 1.51 mu/L (0.3-4.2)

3) June 2010

- Plasma free T4 level 14.2 pmol/L (12.0-22)

- Plasma TSH level 1.17 mu/L (0.3-4.2)

- I couldn't find any TSH level for this period

I have been dignosticated with lack of Vitamin D [Plasma 25-OH Vitamin D3 <10

nmol/L (20.0-110.0)]. The doctor prescribed me some vitamin d

medicine/supplements but I haven't been able to have them because apparently the

company who produce them is out of stock now.

I have been sent by my doctor (who says I don't suffer from hypothyroidism) to

an endocrinologist. The endocrinologist saw me last month and said I don't

suffer from hypothyroidism. He asked my doctor to let me do blood tests for

these things:

- Anti adrenal cortex Ab

- Anti gastric parietal Ab screen

- Coeliac disease screen

- Cortisol level

- FSH level

- Luteinising hormone (LH) level

- Oestradiol level

- Prolactin level

- Testosterone level

- 24 hours blood urine example

I presume all this things are to see if I suffer from Adrenal Fatigue but I know

that the best test for Adrenal Fatigue is the Saliva Hormone test which the

endocrinologist hasn't mentioned. I telephoned the surgery to know the results

of these latest blood test and they said that everything is ok. I have a copy of

the results but I don't understand much. I am still waiting for the results of

the 24 hours urine sample.

My symptoms are very bad and persistent dizziness, all my muscles hurts, low

morning body temperature, I am always tired and lots of other typical symptoms.

If a person drinks 2 litres of water per day (which is what I am doing) he/she

should do no more than 2.5 litres of urine per day. If it's more than 2.5 per

day is a symptom that there is something wrong. My 24 hours urine sample was 4

litres (yes, I know all the toilets in Brighton).

My mother, my father and my uncle are on medication for hypothyroidism (my

mother has also Hashimoto's disease). I decided to do it my own way and I tried

to take my mother medication for 10 days. I took Levothyroxine Tablets 50

micrograms, one tablets each day for ten days. Well, what can I say... within a

few hours of taking the first tablet I started feeling great. In these 10 days

my dizziness had completely disappeared, I had lots of energy, no muscle pain, I

never wanted to go to sleep and I was very happy in general. I stopped the

levothyroxine 3 days ago and within a few hours my persistent dizziness has

completely come back even worse than before and I am so tired again. Now... I

know that it is a little bit strange for this medicines to start working within

a few hours of taking them and viceversa. So my question is to all of you who

are taking Levothyroxine tablets, did it started working immediately?

I have an appointment with my doctor in a few days and another appointment with

the endocrinologist on 8 September. What should I say to them?

What do you think of the fact that I felt great with Levothyroxine? Can it make

you feel great even if you don't have hypothyroidism?

Looking at my thyroid results at the beginning of this message, is it possible

that they changed in one month even if I wasn't taking any medication?

Thank you very much for your time.
