HUGE Cutoms Charges for Intenational Pharmacy Package

Hi All,

I have just collected a package containing two pots of Cytomel from the Post

Office.

The charge was £32.16 - £8.0 PO handling charge and £24.16 VAT !!!!!!!

All the packages that have been stopped and charged have been around the £15

mark. Why £24.16 VAT? I thought VAT was 17.5%.

I have had a look on the Post Office website and it is like a maze of treacle -

there is no number I can phone - does anyone know of a telephone number at the

PO I could phone and ask why I was charged £24.16 VAT?
