Guest guest Posted August 11, 2010 Report Share Posted August 11, 2010 My wife Gill has been Hypo with Hashimotos for 15 years and has been prescribed Levothyroxine for all this time, though the dose has been changed. It is now 87.5mcg daily. It was decreased from 100mcg on 10th June after T4 was last tested at 20.1 (9.0-19.0pmol/L) in May this year. Gill has multiple symptoms including visual problems and some symptoms of Ocular Myasthenia, and a confirmed diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. Gill has the following antibodies: ANA 320 >160 Anti DNA Native 192 >55 Anti ENA 2.8 ? TgAb 180 >80 Gill has never had her T3 tested and Dr refused so she has obtained private results: Free T4 16.3 12.0-22.0pmol/L Free T3 3.4 3.0-6.2pmol/L TSH 5.2 0.4-4.0mIU/L Oestradiol 18 up to 145pmol/L Progesterone 1 not given for post menopause Prior to this test her TSH has always been around 1 +/- 0.3 Does anyone know what is the cause of the high TSH and what next action should be Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
