I have been diagnosed as having Adrenal Exhaustion and a low thyroid. I am in

the process of getting treatment for the adrenals but my question is should i go

Thyroxine or will the Adrenal treatment cure the low thyroid as i am reluctant

to take meds for thyroid if i don't really need to

24 hr urine test: T4 523 (ref range 347-1994)

T3 1622 (ref range 592-1850)

T3:T4 3.1 (ref range 0.50-2.00)

Also am I hypo or not?

Thanks

Kate

Hi, You seem to be able to convert T4 to T3 as the T3 result is much higher in it's range than the T4 which is very low, but not quite bumping along the bottom, but you probably wouldn't have got in your current mess if your thyroid had been working more actively- but it is working- I'd just see how you get on, but if adrenal support does not bring you back to full health then you know what to do next! As you can convert then thyroxine would probably do the trick. good idea to follow general advice on vits and minerals- zinc selenium vit D3 iron etc > thyroid treatment > From: lalomac666@...> Date: Thu, 24 Jun 2010 10:05:35 +0000> Subject: Thyroid Results -Low T4 and Adrenal Exhaustion- Should i go on Thyroxine???> > I have been diagnosed as having Adrenal Exhaustion and a low thyroid.
