Guest guest
I am beginning to notice a link between BP readings ammount of thyroxine and when you take it. Taking the 25mcg (GP on tests recomend 75mcg) in the morning caused my BP to be 150/90 pulse 62 temp 35.6 taken Sun Morning. I did not take any thyroxine in the morning due to BP too high. The reading last night was 143/83 pulse 63 temp 34.6. I tried taking 25mcg at night. I had a bout of cramp in the night, but a more peaceful night and felt better this morning. My reading this morning were improved with 125/78 pulse 70 temp 35.2. I am going to continue like this to see if I can use thyroxine to keep it at this level. My CPN having just visited thought the readings good for my age. She is now going to get her thyroid gland tested, but she is also going to enquire why so many psychiatrists are putting patients already on medication on thyroxine. My answer is that the drugs cause in turn problems with the thyroid gland along with all the other symptoms. I also had to explain that the thyroid gland has a lot of other hormones and that it is no good just testing one or just treating for one hormone. All should sign the petition in the same way as the Heart Foundation so keep this one up SHEILA. Kathleen
