FNA Result of : Thy3a on Thyroid nodule - what does it mean?.

hello, Ive had an FNA result of Thy3a (suspicious of hyperplastic nodule) taken from a right dominant nodule on a multinodular goitre. Has anybody had this result or does anybody know what this means, or had any experience of this.? I would very much appreciate any info. thank you. Maureen.

Hi Maureen, it is difficult to tell what this actually means as

there are so many things it could be down to and each of us is an individual,

as you will see in this Abstract http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11074641

You would need to talk to your doctor about this and what does he say - or is

he one that is saying nothing?
