Khadiyja, I have the same problem! I finally went to see the doctor about it and

she said that adult acne is a hormonal

problem, as well as a bacterial infection and that you really need a

prescription strength hydrogen peroxide cream to

clear it up and an antibiotic to clear up the bacterial infection.

I have stopped using bar soaps and wash rags, also use a fresh towel everytime

you dry your face. I like to use " oil of

olay " sensitive foaming face wash to keep my face clean. I would recommend that

if you are using a handmade soap or

cream that you test it for bacteria and ph. You could be getting or spreading it

through the cream/soap. I'm sure you

already know that soap by nature is antibacterial, but that if it is left to sit

in a puddle of water....the suds in the

water are actually a breeding ground for bacteria.

Good Luck,

Peggy :)

It's devastating as an adult to have to deal with acne. I'm glad to offer my

experiences so they can help. (I hope!)

ttfn,

Peggy :)

has had blotchy skin all her life. When she was an infant, her

pediatrician said he saw it in people with Down's all the time. No

treatment for it that I've heard of and nothing to be alarmed about.
