Guest guest
I have had Hypothyroidism from about 2000 when I was 32, this is when my TSH started to shoot up and I started to put on weight. I was not diagnosed untill 2005 though, I had thyroid antibodies done (NHS) and they came back negative. A couple of weeks ago my daughter, who is 23, had blood tests done, including TFT, and the GP phoned her to say they were normal. I really dont trust these Drs, so I told her to get them to print the results and I would pick them up when I went for my precription. They gave me the results, i know she has low Iron so looked to see what the Ferritin was but on the first page i could not believe it her TSH was 4.9 with a range of 0.3-4.0.! They had told her they were normal. I am devasted to think my daughter could have Thyroid disease as she is only 23. I dont understand how we both have it.Her FT4 is 13.9 with a range of 10.5-24.5, so it looks to me like she has sub clinical. What shall we do next? any advice please.
