Guest guest
Thank you so much to everyone who replied. Hi Shiela I am the girl (from West Midlands) you met at your house when I saw Dr about 3 mths ago. Hope you are well. Dr said I am thyrotoxic and need to come off the Erfa. I started T3 only (Cynomel) under a week ago.... but struggling with it. I realise I need to be patient but having symptoms so early on is disconcerting. I will be contacting Dr tomorrow on his phone in day to discuss. My serum ferritin was 44ng, serun folate 14.6 (3-30) and VIT b12 400 checked 2 mths ago. Magnesium blood 0.73 (0.7-1). Serum progesterone 27.7 nmol/L (whats this mean?). I am now taking iron supplements plus VIT C, Co q 10, VIT B and Nutri Adrenals supplements. Dr says I potentially have an RT3 problem, maybe enzyme failure as I a have too much t4 and not enough t3 in my cells. My last bloods were checked 2 mths ago whilst on Erfa (was on Erfa for about 4 mths) and FT4 12.3 (12-22) and FT3 6.5 (3.95-6.8) tsh 0.01. Prior to Erfa i was taking levothyroxine (for 2 yrs) FT4 36 and FT3 6.9 (hence the potential RT3 problem) I have had the check for systematic candida and came back normal. I dont understand why I get the spasms in my neck is this the thyroid medication or adrenals or nutrition deficiency...?? I have asked the RT3 forum and answer was looks like the T3 is pooling and I need to find out why. Yes starting with small doses 3mcg every 4 hours but again last night and this morning mild spasms in my neck arrived again...i dont think my symptoms will let me increase anymore... the tightness in my neck is very uncomfortable. I feel like I am falling at every hurdle at the moment I am such a positive person but this has been going on too long now... being a single mom I am struggling. Thanks very much for your help Sheila x > > I think it might be best to ask your GP to test your ferritin, vitamin B12, > vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc to see if any of these are > low in the reference range.
