The L-Glutamine helps the muscles stay happy... and help the immune system... has nothing to do with digestive enzymes... Guest guest
, Â Â About the swelling in the legs AND the pain in the chest, my vote for chest pain is a trip to e.r. any shortness of breath?? Diane..42 Hi all, I am having some symptoms and not sure what to make of it, whether to make the trip to the RD, or just an MD. The lymph glands in my legs have been swelling for about a week - typical. Some pain in chest - typical except it does not quite feel as severe as a pleural effusion. Then today I have gotten exhausted after being awake for only 4 hours, and doing nothing. I am not in a great deal of pain compared to past flares. I just can't get to functioning, have a major urge to sleep, and I guess I have what I hear referred to as brain fog. Any thoughts?

Guest guest
honey, It's unusual that you should say anything at all so I'm going to agree with Diane - perhas a trip to the ER is in order. If you're going to be as stubborn as I am, however, at least go to the RD! Please keep us up on how you are. Take care and be well, honey. Guest guest
, I don't know about you but when I'm feeling this exhaustion and need to sleep it is because my body is starved for oxygen and I have not been wearing my cpap machine for more than a couple of nights like since last Friday when had his surgery. I don't know if you need one but it may be worth looking into to see if you're getting enough oxygen for whatever reason. I would at least make an appointment if you're not short of breath or if so go to the ER ASAP. Guest guest
Hi , I think Trip to RD, Do you have Fibro as secondary dx? It sounds a lot like the symptoms I have with Fibro. You feel like you have the flu about 3-4 hours after you get up. Nothing feels good, Chest can hurt from chostrocondritis with fibro along with major brain fog and fatigue... also leg pain (especially inside of knees)... RD's are better at DX'ing Fibro then MD's are, plus he could tell the difference between what is stills and what is something else that is inflammatory. Hang in there, but get to the doc - especially if it keeps up- Alli

Guest guest
I am still trying to get my head around "the mimics of hypothyroidism". Would you say that fibromyalgia could be termed a mimic of hypothyroidism? It has much of the same symptoms and, am I right in thinking, people like Dr.Lowe think that it is a symptom of hypothyroidism rather than a condition on its own. Guest guest
Dear Dawn, Off the top of my head, I do believe that the symptoms of fibromyalgia are also represented in hypothyroidism -- lack of energy, muscle aches, etc. FM was not around until armour was not being used.... Have a great day, > > Hi hon > Sorry not > But I had all they symptoms of FM and they are going away :) > I would say it was hypothyroidism mimicking FM indeed. Not sure if that is what means by the term > lotsa luv > Dawnx >
Guest guest
Fibromyalgia usually refers to pain, spread around various parts of the body. The majority of sufferers will find that taking the thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3) usually takes the pain away. I know, I had fibromyalgia in spades, which left me as soon as I started taking Armour thyroid, almost 7 years ago, with no return whatsoever. But then, we patients do know more than the doctors about this particular subject. Guest guest
Hi You could be right about FM not being around when NDTH was in common use. However I remember my gran saying she had a bit of fibrositis,(something inflamed?) now I have no idea what she meant by that and it used to go away. Yes and I kept telling the Dr my symptoms were thyroid but he wouldn't believe me of course cos my tests were ok. I still get the occasional bad day but all in all it is on the up. We have to be fair it has taken ages for me to get into this state it will take ages for me to get better. Yes I think CFS is exactly the same too, that was my official diagnosis. I asked for a diagnosis cos I had to have SOMETHING to say to the benefits, I am far too ill to work but 'depression' just didn't explain the state I was in lotsa luv Dawnx
Guest guest
Dawn, when I was about 13 I used to get awful pains around the chest area. When I breathed in I would get them so sharp I could not take a deep breath and had to do short shallow ones until it went away. It did after about 30 seconds, but it did happen often. It happened whilst I was at school and was told I must go and see a doctor. My doctor diagnosed "fibrositis". I often wonder if fibrositis is one of those diagnoses which means "I haven't the faintest idea what is wrong, I do not think it will kill you, but I had better give it a medical sounding name otherwise you will suss out I don't know". Guest guest
Hi ,Are you looking for the bonding reflex that tried with her daughter? I don't know the page number is the newer versions of the manuals but the Bonding Reflex is a specific reflex in itself and a different reflex than the Leg Cross Flexion-Extension reflex. The bonding reflex should be listed in the table of contents in your manual. On Wed, Jan 26, 2011 at 1:41 PM, Balint <nisebalint@...> wrote: Congratulations ! I am trying to follow what you do in my book I think I may have the newest version? In my book it might be called " Leg cross flexion-extension reflex " ? Is this right? page 71 thanks denise
