Hi everyone,

Just wanted to know if it is usual to have palpitations while on T3 ?

I have recentley started this on increasing doses...went from 10 mcgs for 3

weeks to 20 mcgs for 3 weeks then 30 mcgs for 3 wks and I have to increase to 40

mcgs soon. I am also taking 150/175 mcgs of levothyroiine on alternate days, and

I am wondering if I should go back to taking only 20mcgs of T3, as I have had

some palpitations, only when I lie down in bed at night to go to sleep, and I

found this a bit strange, seeing as I take my T3 at 7 am, as I know that T3

dosent stay long in your system?

Im also not sure as I normally drink Decaffinated Coffee, but twice when visiting

a friend recently I drank her normal coffee, and had palpitations those nights

.....and I was wondering if if could have been this that caused them, but would

only one cup cause this?

Im a bit puzzled and would be very grateful for any advice, Thanks in advance.
