Ferritin not increasing whilst on Ferrous Sulphate

Hello everyone.

Had a Ferritin blood test 3 mths ago and it was 42 at the time so I started

taking Ferrous Sulphate. Had my Ferritin tested again last week and its only

increased by 2 up to 44.

Just wondering why is it so slow to increase ?
