Guest guest
Hey, Im wondering this as still feel like I could have a better mood most of the time compared to others my age...perhaps there is a bit of lingering depression? My last tests were: Ft3 5.2 (3.8-6.0) FT4 13.0 (8-21) - although I have seen some ranges of 12-21 TSH <0.01 RT3 0.64 (0.14-0.54) They were taken 2 months ago. I know RT3 is high in these tests but since then I have stopped HC (yeah!) and I know that high RT3 can be from high cortisol. Iv been off it for a week not and feel fine. Im also dubious about even worrying about high RT3 as endos don't and even Dr peatfield doesn't. Two studies that I have come across are here, and seem to indicate that a higher FT4 is preferable: http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/156/12/1909 http://www.endocrine-abstracts.org/ea/0011/ea0011p781.htm Before I do change my thyroid dose tho I want to wait a bit for my body to adjust to taking no HC, and then retest my thyroid again to see if its changed at all incase the Hc was causing the high RT3. Thanks Jonny
