Hi ,

Actually 's platelet count runs elevated. One time it ran in

the 800,000's, but now its a little over 460,000. The doctors said

platelets could run either low or elevated in that case. I can't see

bone marrow failure because his red count was never low to suggest

anemia. We will have to see after these labs they run. I still think

its a periodic fever that has not yet been indentified. But, as a

parent, the scare is still there. Being a 2% chance I see it like,

100 children with the same symptoms and labs, 2 will have leukimia,

if your child is in that group of 100, you would be scared, but if

your childs not in that group you would say the chances are slim.

Does that make sence? Is Australia up to date on periodic fevers?

Thank you for your response and I hope all is well for you and you

family.

Dena
