Hi all,

I would like some advice with my daughters latest blood results and our GP's advice on her T4 and T3 treatment. They refused to test her T4 and T3,[theres a surprise!] Her last T4 in February was 11.6,I dont know her T3 and her TSH was 0.63.

I had her vits and mins tested first of all about 6 months ago and her latest ones tested last week. Her results are:

6 months ago ref range Last week

HDL 1.25 greater than 1 1.39

LDL 2.9 Less than 4 3.2

Magnesium -no results! 0.7-1 0.86

Tryglicerides - 0.93 Less than 2 0.84

Sodium - 139 137-145 140

Potassium - 4.7 3.6-5 4.2

Creatinine - 70 62-124 72

Cholesterol - 4.6 below 5.2 5

Folate - 3.4 2.8-14.9 10.11

Ferritin - 17.8 10-356 37.3

B12 - 400 160-970 851

Amazingly, our GP has read, consumed and used the info I give him every time I see him! He has advised that my daughter come off T4 and just take T3.Her dose of T4 at the moment is 75mcg.She was advised to increase her T4 by an endoprat that said she didnt even have hypo! I soon decreased her dose back to 75mcg as she started getting headaches, which I assume could be RT3 issue. Our GP has suggested experimenting by reducing T4 to nothing and increasing T3 to 60mcg and see what happens. He was reeling off all this info and I told him it was going over my head,to which he replied that it was from the info I gave him! I think its agood idea to come off T4 and our GP is in the same thought that my daughter may have an RT3 issue,to which no T4 and only T3 is the best thing to do.Would anyone agree with this too? As you can see from her latest blood results, she has an increase, mainly in Folate,B12 and Ferritin. As the B12 is almost top end, should she still

take B12 supplements? Does anyone have any comments, suggestions or questions?

Best wishes Sharon
