These

are terrible results - your Free T3 is WAY below the bottom of the

reference range - your Free T4 is practically non-existent, your TSH is non existent.

What did your doctor say to such results. Remind us what medication you are

taking.

Thank you Sheila.

When the blood tests were done I had been off all Armour (Erfa) for a week.

He said that I had been on too much Armour (3 grains) and that was why I was experiencing hyper symptoms (heart palps, heart rate of 143 at bedtime and insomnia). I thought I was suffering from reverse T3 symptoms but he said that this was not the case as my symptoms were hyper whilst on Armour.

I said that I thought my adrenals were fatigued again (even tho I am taking 5 nutri adrenal extra supplements) and produced an adrenal saliva test showing:-

Range: 21-41 nmol/LSample 1 (post awakening) = 11.8 (outside range)Sample 2 (+ 4 hours) =3.6 (outside range)Sample 3 (+ 4 hours) = 2.0 (outside range)Sample 4 (prior to sleep) = 0.5 (outside rangeTotal daily cortisol = 17.9. DHEA: Cortisol ratio 2.37

He said that my adrenal blood test results were normal but that, as the saliva test results were bad, he is now sending me for a free androgen screen and a Synacthen test asap. He also said I should start on 1 and half grains of Armour again.

That could have been the case. You are probably unable to

tolerate very much because you could be suffering still with low adrenal

reserve (Nutri Adrenal Extra may not be sufficient, and perhaps you need a

short course of hydrocortisone). Also, your adrenal blood test would be

'normal' if you were not suffering with 's disease (too little or no

cortisol) or Cushing's Syndrome (too high a level of cortisol) - because they

do not test for low adrenal reserve, which the 24 hour does. This checks your

cortisol and DHEA levels at four specific times during the day. Whenever you

post any test results, ALWAYS post the reference ranges, because without them,

we are unable to interpret them. I don't know whether the results below are

outside the top of the reference range or outside the bottom. Can you let us

have these please.

If your adrenals are so low, and if you have other associated

conditions going alongside, you should really boost these up. Other conditions

that could be stopping your Armour from working as it should are low ferritin,

low B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc. Ask him to test these.

Another condition could be that you might be suffering with systemic

candidiasis.

I hope you get the test done soon - it is so hard to be left not

knowing which way to turn while waiting for tests, and then waiting for the

results.

Hi , looks like your pituitary is not producing enough TSH as both FT4 and FT3 are both below normal levels- how do you feel? Subject: Re: interpreting blood test results - help with please?
