Guest guest
i had the same problem, they didnt do it because it was too expensive as it had to be sent to glasgow, grrrrrr. lou From: donnam1978 <donnam1978@...>thyroid treatment Sent: Fri, 8 January, 2010 16:05:35Subject: Erfa working - cant believe Lab hasnt done my fT3 even though my doc requested Well I know its only been a few weeks but something is working. My FT4 has gone down from 36 to 17 since starting on Erfa ???? I am fuming though as the Nurse Practitioner told today me that the Lab did not do my FT3 and my rT3 even though my doctor requested these to be done. Their reason was because my TSH was ok at 0.03 and thats why they didnt to them !!!??Cant do anything about it now until Monday.I wanted to know if I had rT3 dominance. Really disappointed and will probably have to wait another week to find out now.Donna
Guest guest
Hi donna, T4 going lower is to be expected when taking NDT as there is T3 to balance. In some areas it is difficult to get FT3 done. My doc puts 'taking T3' on the form so I always get it done. the other way is '?hyper' but of course you have to get docs cooperation. > thyroid treatment > From: donnam1978@...> Date: Fri, 8 Jan 2010 16:05:35 +0000> Subject: Erfa working - cant believe Lab hasnt done my fT3 even though my doc requested> > > Well I know its only been a few weeks but something is working.> My FT4 has gone down from 36 to 17 since starting on Erfa ???? > I am fuming though as the Nurse Practitioner told today me that the Lab did not do my FT3 and my rT3 even though my doctor requested these to be done. Guest guest
Thanks . I ran my saliva tests by val on the adrenal website and she said I most likely in adrenal fatigue stage 3 and probably an rt3 issue. How do you get your doctor to see that rt3 maybe an issue with my FT4 being in normal range. Thanks Donna > > > Hi donna, > T4 going lower is to be expected when taking NDT as there is T3 to balance. Guest guest
Hi donna, catch 22 unless you can get that FT3 done. > Subject: Re: Erfa working - cant believe Lab hasnt done my fT3 even though my doc requested> > Thanks . Guest guest
Hi, Unless you can get FT3 tested I don't see how. If you get it privately the chances are that GP will ignore as it's not NHS test then NHS test isn't done and round and round we go. The problem being that NHS guidelines say T4 only which we know doesn't help everyone. > thyroid treatment > From: donnam1978@...> Date: Sat, 9 Jan 2010 12:34:17 +0000> Subject: Re: Erfa working - cant believe Lab hasnt done my fT3 even though my doc requested> > Thanks .
