Hi donna, I don't know much about the mechanics of RT3 and how long it takes to clear. I've tried t3 alone and just somehow didn't feel as well as I do on Armour and T3. After I'd been on t3 alone for 4 weeks I went back to my Armour and T3 and needed the same dose right away, nor did my need for T3 decrease which is what you would expect if receptors were freeing up. I think it may be a sort of red herring and the Iron is your real ememy. I havent had this problem so I'm sure other will advise on what the'tve tried- how about liver and bacon at least once a week? your levels are moving but with glacial speed. > thyroid treatment > From: donnam1978@...> Date: Thu, 5 Aug 2010 21:13:50 +0000> Subject: Re: T3 dosing am i doing it right ... and when to take Iron ?> > Thanks for our advice, thats great will give that a go.> > I am taking Ferrous sulphate but my iron levels dont seem to be increasing on it (in 3 mths increased from 42 to 44). As i dont have a thyroid I thought I would have needed more than 50mcg?> > To clear out toxins and rt3, how long does this take ? Just wondered when I can introduce Erfa again as i did feel better on it.> > Thanks Donna> > > >> > > > Hi Donna,> > You need to take iron supplements at least 4 hours apart from thyroid meds as you say, so you'll have to sort out your shcedule- maybe even taking the iron at bedtime or reducing the T3 doses to 3 intstead of 4 . If you are going to alter your doses I'd try with a larger first thing in the morning dose as it is natural to have highest levels then- this may help with the tiredness as the iron works to help absorption too- take vit C to help with iron absorption and to counteract constipation.> > > > > ------------------------------------> > TPA is not medically qualified.
