My daughter is hypo, recently had a battery of blood tests, all came back as 'normal, no action reqd.' - INCLUDING a ferritin reading of 14!!!!

They know best don't they.

Just wanted to share this..

Had to see my Gp yesterday about non thyroid thing. He said, " I see you are on

T3? People your age don't need that. And you'll need a bones density scan later

on as you will prob get osteoporosis " *fuming* Me " well Dr X wouldn't have

prescribed it for no reason " .Later, Dr said " I see you haven't requested

migraleve recently, why is that? " Me " I haven't had any migranes " Him " Whats

different? " Me " !!!!! I'm not thyroid undermedicated for a change!!! " Him " Oh,

it can't be that " Me " funny, I only started migranes when I weas diagnosed with

hypo, and they only just stopeed when I started T3!! " He jut then changed the

subject, after giving me a patronising look. AAAAHHHHH!!!! Dr's eh? When will

they stop ignoring the blindingly obvious???

Aw Sue,

You missed your chance,, practice now. Look at your subject, open your eyes

wide, - don't blink - then roll your eyes upwards and smile like your're

looking at a half wit. Ok? Practice.. You need to use this one on your doctor

before he uses it on you, next time you show you can think for yourself. LOL.

What age bracket do you fall in? I'm curious to know at what age the doc

considers we stop t3, sleep all day, and basically give up and die..

Well, if we could remove the Narcissist gene from DRs, things would

improve...but that surgery always fails.. :0)

I bet you were fuming after the appointment!

My argument I would have in mind would be that, I don't care if it's unusual if

I need T3, but the fact is that it's my siutation. As for headaches, I totally

agree with your link with the thyroid! I have never had official migranes, but

used to get the most awful headaches (still may at times to be fair). This has

involved head in a vice, feeling sick, pain going down the left side of my face

into my mouth. Certainly something that didn't happen when I was on the T3, so

what does that say! The fact that you have not needed the migraleve for a bit,

tells your GP something doesn't it! Anyhow they should be happy if you are

saving the PCT prescriptions for the migrane tablets!

Its not the Narcissist gene - its the god delusion that causes the
