Hi Lizzie,

like you I have just increased my ERFA from 21/4 to 21/2 tabs a day. I was on 6 NA a day but have added a little Isocort too. Although my T3 came back as high on my last set of bloods, I still felt under medicated..... that is I still felt that I wasn't getting enough T3. I've put it down to a dodgy blood test as I did not have, nor have had any feelings of being hypa...quite the opposite actually. I have been on the 21/2 tabs for a week now and feel slightly better.Dr P agreed and told me to increase.

The main thing is, I have noticed that since returning to ERFA after being on Armour, all my aches and pains have returned, with a vengeance. I don't know why this is.... I'm still trying to work it out. My inner voice is telling me that I need more T3 for sure.... but that I may also need additional T4. I am going to keep on increasing my ERFA, very slowly, until I go hypa, stop, and then if the aches and pains are still there.... look at supplementing with a little more T4. I know it sounds mad, but looking at my diaries, I was totally ache free when I was on Levo (so uber T4). It's all trial and error to wok out the right doses for the individual... I strongly recommend keeping daily notes on doses and how you feel and allow three weeks minimum before altering dosages....otherwise you can get false readings.I'll let you know how I get along. My main worry is getting T4 toxosis again, but at least now I know what that feel like.

Maddening isn't it. I've got young kids too, so I really empathise.I hope that you're getting support and understanding at home.

What is your adrenal status....? What are all your associateds doing ? And also, how much Armour were you on before you changed to ERFA ? I was on 2 1/2 -2 3/4 grains ....... so maybe you are not back to your original dosage equivalent yet either ???

thinking of you, feel free to mail me privately if you need to share,

julia
