Guest guest
Hi all, I have read something in the past few days about RT3 - brain fog prevents me from remembering grrrr. I should have bookmarked. Anyway, if someone has FT3 at near the top of the range - 5.2 and their t4 has gone up 11.2 to 12 and TSH has gone down from 2.7 to 1.68 since being on thyroxine - only 25mcgs - but obviously still have symptoms and feel like I might as well be taking smarties! I had read that there are issues with reversal of T3 which is not apparent from those above tests. I also read that this person had trouble bending down/back issues/L4/L5 etc and followong T3 she was able to bend agian and lost most of the back issues. I have had a very bad lower back for yrs and I can no longer bend down properly, much to the amusement of people - " oh dear, getting old " , " Do you need help there " ! Trying to pick up anything off the floor is difficult and well touching my toes is not going to happen--and I was always so fit! So - my question - what tests for RT3? And who might identify with the above? Many thanks S
