Guest guest
I inceased my thyroxine (Goldshield brand) on Thursday up to what my GP required being 75mcg, but it in turn has caused problems with my prolapse (pain in back and bladder), and along with it my BP has started to rise, so is the fact that thyroxine in itself, is sodium that causes BP to rise and the reason that I cannot take it. I have had some blood taken to check the thyroid gland, and my BP was checked, and it is up, and have been told to check it with the GP next week, when I get the results of my blood tests. Has anybody else noticed a rise in BP on increasing the dose of thyroxine, which was worse for me with the ANHYDROUS type of thyroxine on the lower dose of 50mcg.
