Guest guest
Called in docs today and picked up test results from the receptionist.... all the numbers and ranges, no messing around... they're obviously getting used to me I got T3 and T4 tested when I went second time as I refused to give them any blood the first time when they said they would only test TSH. I'm on 50 T3 and 50 T4 and have had Hashimotos for 20 years. TSH 0.02 (.3 - 5.5) T3 5 (3.5 - 6.5) T4 4.3 (8 - 19) Last year I was on 20 T3 and 50 T4. Results with same ranges were TSH 0.23 T3 4.6 T4 5.3 So I'm more awake this year, I feel a bit better but I'm a stone heavier than last year despite trying to lose it. How does taking an extra 30 mcg of T3 result in it only increasing from 4.6 to 5. and how does this tiny increase in free t3 result in tsh dropping from 0.2 which the endo is happy with to o.02 which would worry him if he knew. Shows the importance of T3 testing, if my doc had just done TSH he would have reduced the meds... and with just tsh and T4 he could have thought it was a pituary problem... (low t4 and low TSH), but showing the t3 as well makes more sense of the figures..... .
