Well I posted a reply, but thought this one was good..... Wish we had some way

of finding out who he is....

" Maggie Riordan, what the hell does a GP think he/she is doing cutting back your

thyroxin? If the GP won't refer you to an endocrinologist for T3, T4 and TSH

tests, he/she has absolutely no right or competence to adjust your dosage.

Insist on an endocrinologist appointment; if it is not forthcoming, find a good

malpractice lawyer and make yourself enough money to go private for the rest of

your life. I speak as a practising endocrinologist, albeit not in the UK, and I

know from 30 years experience that hormone dosage for hypothyroidism is not a

guessing game for jumped up sick note clerks "
