hi all !!what are your oppinions on the volcanic ash cloud from iceland surely

the sulphur dust must have had an effect on the enviroment, and as our thyroids

are sensitive to chemicals and toxins it must surely have given some of us a

knock back in our thyroxine levels, and as my blood test this time was so

differnt from all the others i put this question to my doctor who replied well

you may have something there anita but we will have to wait and see what doctors

report but it could take years for any real statistics!!! right from the

beggining of the eruption i developed a cough that would not go away and once

the volcano eased erupting within the same week my cough disappeared shortly

after this i developed all the old hypothyroid symptoms feeling cold even in the

heat wave extreme tirdness and has i had already had a blood test in january

that had a good result i asked to have another this july as i felt very ill and

the result was that my levels had dropped quite a lot was this coincidence or

will i never no !! but makes you think what poison was in our atmosphere !!!does

anyone else share my oppinion ?? but it surely makes you think does,nt it ??

I believe there will be all sorts of opinions around as to what

damage volcanic ash COULD cause. I think your doctor is right and we should

wait and see the results of scientific reports before starting to panic. I

guess the first people they will be checking out are Islanders.

Whenever such events occur, there are always folk who suffer with

different symptoms that suddenly go when the event is over, it could be

connected, it could be sheer coincidence. Whatever the cause of your thyroid

problem, you need to get the correct treatment that will take away your symptoms

and give you back your optimal health.
