Audrey, if you have some vitamin C in the house, take a HIGH

dose, e.g. 5/6000mgs all at once - some people take as much as 10,000 when the

start a cold. This stops the cold in its tracks. It might make you have a bit

of 'dire rear' for half a day, but better than putting up with the horrors of a

persistent cold.

Your 2 1/2 grains of Armour may well need increasing. When was

this last increased. We recommend increasing by half a grain every 3 to 4 weeks

until you do feel the symptoms of hyPERthyroidism, as this is often the only

way you can find out the amount of thyroid extract your body needs. Once you

get symptoms of hyPER, you don't take any more Armour that day, and the

following day, you go back onto the dose you were on before your latest

increase. 10mcgs HC is a very small dose and you could increase this by another

5mgs. and take it in split doses throughout the day. The fact that your doctor

told you there was nothing more he could do for you is enough to show that if

you want to get well, you have to take your health into your own hands and be

guided by those who CAN help you. Sack this doctor - he is no use to you

Audrey.

Dear Sheila

After what seemed like a miraculous result from the HC yesterday, I awoke today

feeling most unwell. It seems I have another cold but the fatigue and muscle

stiffness and pain is awful although nowhere hear as bad as before.I cannot

stand for long or do much at all.

I have been taking two and half grains of nature-throid and 10mc of HC now.

My last results were TSH 1.09 Free T4 14.4 and T3 4.5 and he said these were

excellent and there was nothing more he could do for me saying I was a very

sick woman!

Could you advise me on the dosage I am taking please.

Luv Audrey
