Guest guest
Appleyard, designer of the TPA web site and a Master's degree student in Web Applications Development at Leeds Metropolitan University, is seeking volunteers to take part in his degree dissertation. As part of his study into web site accessibility, is looking to recruit those who use an alternative means to gain access to the Internet when they have any difficulty navigating it. This can include any assistive technology or additional means you might use to view your favourite web sites such as: o screen readers o screen magnifiers o text browsers o keyboard shortcuts o speech recognition software o text-to-speech software such as BrowseAloud o Braille displays o browser help such as text or screen magnification (zoom feature) o any other forms of access technology you might use if you suffer from a medical condition that prevents you from easily accessing the Internet If this is you, please get in touch with at james.appleyard@ blueyonder. co.uk as soon as possible. Volunteers will just be required to pass on their experiences with regards to accessing and browsing websites and to carry out a few pre-defined tasks on a couple of websites and provide feedback their experiences of doing it. All feedback will be anonymous, and you will have the opportunity to opt out before the end of August if you wish. Feedback will also be used for the redesign of the TPA web site.
