This is the second time I know of that Dr. Oz has mentioned NDT in the

mainstream media, I hope he continues his good work :0)

Pity someone in this country can't get a show like his.

gland on show and explained that not everyone did well on synthoid and for

people to get NDT and named Armour if they were not improving. He said it was

important to address symptoms.

You know what ,

you should write a book with your wonderful choice of phrases - we would all be

clinging to every word and getting the FULL picture of what it is like to be

left suffering with the symptoms of hypothyroidism with idiots who don't appear

to give a damn. I would most definitely thoroughly enjoy getting up the trunk of

certain professors and presidents of thyroid associations here in the UK.

Actually, I do get the feeling they are probably beginning to feel the presence

of the little ants out here.

Can anybody get me Dr Oz's contact details please. I would like

to write to him and also send him a link to our Register of Counterexamples as

he would probably be very interested to know what we are doing. BTW, the

figures are climbing albeit very slowly, (297 so far) so if you were prescribed

levothyroxine ONLY and still continued with symptoms, and then you were

prescribed T3, either synthetic or natural, PLEASE complete this little survey

- it will take two minutes of your time. We need as many people to complete

this as possible to prove to the BTA and RCP and other thyroid medical boards

throughout the world that T4 does NOT work for everybody and that some of us

need T3 http://www.tpa-uk.org.uk/register_of_counterexamples.php

Sheila, I just added myself to the counterexamples survey. Going off my

experiences this week, I have proved (not that I was in any doubt) how dramatic

the effects of T3 are. Like a switching on of a light and suddenly feeling more

like your old self and feeling able to stay out longer and so on. I really hope

one day that people will not have to fight and work hard to find a consultant

that will help.

It is not like we want T3 to get high or something. All it is are tablets that

do work, so if we hit on something like this that works, then it makes sense to

use the medication and at a dose that does the job, rather than a minimal dose

(that classes as going through the motions).

By the way, what is the Dr Oz show please? What channel was it on, is it

repeated? Or is it available online at all?

Sounds very good coverage of the issues anyway.

Dr Oz used to appear on the Oprah Winfrey show and she has now given him his own

show, as she did for Dr Phil.

It is on Pay TV here (australia) I dont know if you can watch episodes on line

as you can other programmes.

What channel was that on? Will it appear on i-Player or equivalent? Please let

me know if it is put up on YouTube as it sounds like a useful snippet for my

local ME/CFS group.

Thanks .

I will keep an eye out in a few days then. As you say the 20th July is the

latest episode listed.

There are a lot of interesting topics!
