Guest guest
I went to a different glaucoma clinic today, I was pleasantly surprised by the acknowledgement shown by the consultant about my being hypothyroid. She asked if I had any visual problems and I explained that my eyes are blurry first thing in the morning and I like to get up a couple of hours before I go out to let my vision clear, one of the symptoms of hypothyroid that never seems to go away entirely, I said. Yes, she said, it can be a problem and maybe I should discuss it with my endo? Felt like a breakthrough!! The last consultant was so busy telling me I was fat, lazy and ate too much that he never actually 'heard' the answers I gave to questions he asked!! Came back with a prescription for stronger eye drops, seems my glaucoma is getting worse in my left eye, the consultant reassured me that there was plenty of room left for treatment though and not to worry about it. I feel like I've won another little battle!!!
