Guest guest
Hello I got a test kit from genova today it had one of those big APC envelopes in. is this postage paid or do we have to pay for it ourselves? Bit confused as i've always used royal mail special delivery not a courier. thanks chris
Guest guest
I have the same dilemma! My test kit arrived today with the APC envelope and another envelope addressed to Genova. I've not had time to read through the instructions properly, but I saw something about an extra charge of £10 if you return it via APC. Think there was something about sending via Royal Mail Special Delivery also. Which method have others used please? Guest guest
Hi i saw the £10 thing today ... but that's a lot compared to royal mail special delivery (£5ish) - always used special delivery before and never had any problems with it before chris
Guest guest
I guess Genova are sending out that package so that you have a choice of how to send your samples back to them Luv -Sheila Hi i saw the £10 thing today ... but that's a lot compared to royal mail special delivery (£5ish) - always used special delivery before and never had any problems with it before chris No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
The instructions say to return the courier envelope if you don't need it, so I guess Sheila is right that Genova are giving people a choice - maybe it's for those who can't get to a post office easily so would prefer a courier coming to them. I've just checked the Royal Mail website. It's only £4.95 for guaranteed delivery by 1 p.m. the next day, so I'm going to send my test back that way. Guest guest
I think it's a rip off! why spend £10 and have to wait in i guess for APC to pick it up when you can do it for £5 at any post office at your own convenience? chris > > > > The instructions say to return the courier envelope if you don't need it, so I guess Sheila is right that Genova are giving people a choice - maybe it's for those who can't get to a post office easily so would prefer a courier coming to them. > > I've just checked the Royal Mail website. Guest guest
I think this maybe because of the recent postal strikes and Genova are giving customer a choice. It would make the tests invalid if they didn't get to Genova quickly. > > > > > > > > The instructions say to return the courier envelope if you don't need it, so I guess Sheila is right that Genova are giving people a choice - maybe it's for those who can't get to a post office easily so would prefer a courier coming to them. > > > > I've just checked the Royal Mail website. Guest guest
I asked Genova, and they said its perfectly OK to use Royal Mail Next day delivery. I did a urine Thyroid test. The thing is, I think the £10 for APC is already costed in to the price we pay, thats the way I read it anyway. I forgot to put in my little freezer pack with my sample, hope it doesnt spoil.! Guest guest
The way I read it, the £10 is extra on top of the test fee. Posted my adrenal test off this morning - £5.40 for delivery by 1 p.m. tomorrow. I'm going to be waiting with bated breath to get the results now. It was one heck of a struggle to stay up until 10 p.m. to do the last sample yesterday evening, so I won't be surprised if that comes back low.
