Hi,

Suggest you read http://www.drlowe.com he started out treating

fibromyalgia and found that he was treating poorly treated or undiagnosed

hypo instead. Hypo does run in families- I'm 3rd generation.

Subject: Help for mum please

You were all so helpful to me last week with advice I thought I would ask

for some info on behalf of my mum. She has been ill for about the past 20

years. I know in the past the doctors have thought it was ME they are now

saying Fibromyalgia. Im wondering if it could be an underactive thyroid. My

aunty has an underactive thyoid, I do and my niece had part of her thyroid

removed due to a cyst on it and is now finally on Levothyroxine after having

all symptoms but normal blood tests.

My mum has had bloods done which came back within the " normal " range

although I dont know what her levels actually were. I know she gets a lot

of pain, she also has bad panic attacks, feels like someone is choking her,

has had very bad heart pains in the past although ECG tests have been ok,

she also has digestion problems and high colesterol. Im going to print her

some info off here but I just wanted your opinions on whether you think its

possible she could have a thyroid problem. I have read that fibromyalgia is

sometimes a symptom of a thyroid problem.
