The Evaluation and Program Support Center, centered at the Rollins

School of Public Health of Emory University and Abt Associates in

Cambridge, Massachusetts, is soliciting abstracts for a special issue

of the AIDS Education & Prevention An Interdisciplinary Journal. The

prevalence of HIV and incidences of HIV-related risky behavior are

much higher among incarcerated populations than in the general

population. Innovative interventions in these settings have a unique

opportunity to influence individuals and provide treatment and care

to typically hard to reach populations. The EPSC, through funding

provided by the Health Resources and Services Administration

(http://www.hab.hrsa.gov), is soliciting abstracts from a diverse

audience who are able to offer interventions for this high-risk

population. An abstract should include a statement on how the

intervention(s) would support the scientific pursuit of public health

practice.
