Guest guest
Do people find it better to take Levothyroxine in the morning or at night? 30 minutes before eating or one hour? I have found a difference since waiting ONE hour before eating and making sure it is a full half pint of water I take the tablet with. I must admit I did not think it THAT important as to the amount of water as it is not my favourite drink first thing in the morning but after googling it I think it really is important. A friend of mine has hypothyroidism and ME. I have just asked her how/when she takes her 125mg of Levo... and she takes it in the morning with a couple of mouthfuls of water ten minutes before eating. Would this make a big difference? Would blood tests still appear in the normal range even though the medication is perhaps not getting absorbed properly? Therefore her GP would assume all was well but perhaps the medication not hitting the spot! Just wondering if the ME is really a very very underactive thyroid from not take the tablets properly!
