Guest guest
Hello My last blood test showed that my TSH level had gone from >0.01 to 10.6. I feel terrible, which is unsurprising, and am seeing the GP tomorrow. I can't tolerate more than 20mg of T3 and think that maybe I need to add Fluorinef to the 30mg of cortef I'm currently taking each day. I'm going to ask the GP to test my aldosterone, renin, sodium and potassium levels. Is there anything else I should do? I don't know why this has suddenly happened. I do know that when I had my adrenal salivary profile done over a year ago, it showed that I had almost complete adrenal exhaustion. I should probably have held out for a short synacthen test, but none was forthcoming from the " specialist " so I got going on the Cortef. Does anyone know why my TSH level could have suddenly shot up? Or is there anything else I should ask my GP? He's pretty good and running the tests I ask for. Thanks, Jane
