Guest guest
Rayner is a patron of the British Thyroid Association so she will be heavily influenced by them, bear this in mind I have written to FDA to see what they are going to do about it, still waiting response. No need for people to hang around waiting for Shomon to do it, all can email. Janie Bowhorpe and seem to be going to hang together in this (STTM BLOG). Shiela yes the UK patients need to show a united front lotsa luv Dawn
Guest guest
Good for , she does right and she deserves a good break away from all of this. I too go on 'holiday' shortly, but have two meetings whilst away that cannot be missed, both 'thyroid' related. I also need to take 's laptop - he is not happy about this. I might need another holiday to get over this holiday when I get back *grin*. However, nothing is going to happen overnight - whatever is decided by the FDA and the pharmaceutical companies involved is going to be a very long drawn out process, so meanwhile, gather your thoughts and do whatever letter writing to whoever you think might help us and our predicament. luv - Sheila Hi, I think has gone on her holidays with her family, booked a long while ago, and is not taking her computer either so she can rest, don't know how long for. Guest guest
is actually one of the patrons of the BTF - not the Association Dawn. I did write to her years ago when I first started TPA-UK but she told me that although she wished every thyroid patient well and that they should be allowed to have a choice of treatment, she was past taking on any more projects. I got the message. Every patient throughout the world MUST show a united front - without that, we are lost. This includes all the thyroid support groups, local and online and also every organisations running thyroid web sites. Guest guest
So if American Lab Inc is going to continue producing the raw material - WHY cant doctors who are currently prepared to write the scripts, list the 'original' formula (I think someone has it here) and that script is faxed, mailed, taken to the Compounding Chemist to be made up.......... would that not keep everyone alive..... The temporarily weak area I see is finding the doctors to write the scripts, which is not illegal in UK and could still be covered by NHS, if I am understanding things correctly. Compounding Chemists got very 'organised' after the last fiasco when Wyeth tried to stop Bio Idential HRT (they failed). Compounding chemists organisation could be a good partner in this. They may even have lists of doctors who will write scripts If Big Pharm via the FDA is trying to stop manufacturers, but they cant stop compounding chemists fulfilling their job which is to make up scripts with legally prescribed product. Guest guest
I have just spent some time reading around their site (American Health Freedom) and they are VERY pro active and are constantly lobbying on Capitol Hill. I am forever signing petitions that they send me, I do think both these organisations would be great partners if people can get their armour from compounding chemists, we will be safe, a bit more expensive at the beginning, but the emphasis can then be for NHS to respect the doctors scripts and that if the patient is Hypothyroid he/she should get free thyroid replacement suitable for that patient. Perhaps the compounding chemists would supply a list of docs who will prescribe. We just have to think outside the box. AIM: (1) to continue to get natural thyroid medication (2) Supplied by NHS and if American Labs are going to continue making it, and any others raw material producers around the world, and compounding chemists buy it...................... we will be OK emailed me that she is going to contact Dr Marcola, and he reaches 2-3 million via his newsletter. All is far from lost F > > Thanks , I have posted this information on to the NTH forum to see what > they think. > > > > > > > > > > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG - www.avg.com > Version: 8.5.392 / Virus Database: 270.13.69/2328 - Release Date: 08/27/09 > 18:02:00 >

I am sure the average person is pleased with the NHS. That's when there is some sort of accident or medical emergency. I have heard so many people say good things about local hospitals and they couldn't fault the care etc. People with thyroid or ME/CFS problems etc have a different gripe that we dared to fall ill with something more unusual and are given a dustbin diagnosis, which gives the GP reason to put you on scrap heap. As I say if you are sick with something unusual or chronic the NHS isn't as good is it. The fact that wait times are at an all time low, also gives GPs a reason to opt out because they don't want to interfere, knowing that you'll be seen soon anyway. I am astonished that it took me to go to a private hospital to get my blood pressure checked and for it to be documented how ill I have been off thyroid meds this month! By the way I did pay for the fully comprehensive blood test yesterday that also covers thyroid antibodies and Free T3.
