Guest guest
Hi Lizzie, I'd say it's a tyrannical regime that discounts the patient's input. You need to get your endo on board and insist that you control how you feel and not the other way around. Even the expert witnesses giving evidence at the FTP hearing for Dr S said they'd listened to the patients when they insisted that they needed to feel well. ....and, ultimately the lab tests are meaningless if the patient has myxoedema coma ~ and that was one expert witness contradicting another....in the same hearing, when on oath, and under cross-examination. I suspect that had something to do with the outrageous position arrived at( concocted by ) the BTA and approved by the RCP, whereby all GPs were guided to not provide any T3 containing thyroid meds.....including, by name, Armour thyroid. ERFA in Canada have a product NDT that is both available and will be stocked by IDIS in the UK. The MHRA have now included the Canadian product on their list of approved materials to which the MHRA will not object on importation to the UK. best wishes Bob > > Hi Everyone > > It's a couple of weeks since I posted re my visit to see my new endo following my lovely previous endo retiring. > > well I am starting to struggle now, going downhill quickly. Guest guest
I know that feeling well!! This morning, I went to collect my prescription from my endo at the hospital only to find he'd dropped my meds from 2 grains a day to 1 & 1/2!!!! I explained to the secretary that 1 grain was hard to get and that they are rather small to try cutting in half and I've yet to successfully divide a 2 grain, they seem to explode into dust when you try to cut them!! The chemists wouldn't dispense any tablets for me because they had no 1 grain and wouldn't give me the 2 grain.... no surprises there!! So now I have to trek across to the hospital again tomorrow to get another prescription!! I am going to write a letter for my endo tonight to leave for him tomorrow telling him how I could well do without all the astress he's adding to my life. Don't they know that stress makes us more ill? Guest guest
Hi Thanks for your reply it's nice to hear from you. I'm not really sure what caused the heart palps apart from being on too much Armour I think I must have missed my sweetspot. I think my adrenals are pretty stable, daily temps seem to remain fairly constant. I do take my Armour with vitamin c thanks. I think it is good for me to stay on one dose or a while as it will give my bloods chance to stabilise with hopefully an increase in Dec. Feel sure I'm not on the correct dose yet, but have to say I have felt far worse. Love Lizzie > what's your adrenal status and where are you at with things like iron etc ? Was there something that preceded you going downhill and getting the heart palps ( ...... > > Have you tried taking your vitamin C with your Armour ? Guest guest
Hi again Lizzie, well sounds as you say as 'simple' as just too much Armour. It's a bit like climbing a mountain...making camp and acclimatising at each stage.I took about six months, sometimes longer before I could increase. You're probably be feeling much more stable by the time you see the endo. You're not going downhill, you're going uphill to the summit of health ! julia
