Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Well I am off to see my endo Dr M tomorrow. Thinking about what to say, well I am very much improved but not there yet. I have had blood tests this time for B12 and ferritin which have both been low in the past, I am self treating my B12 of 306 with 1000 mcg B12 sublingually so will be interested to see what that is now. I have been off ferrous sulphate for just over 12 months which brought my Ferritin up from 15 to 86 so I am hoping that is is still around the 80 level. The only thing that i haven't had checked is my Vitamin D level, I am still suffering with some joint pains and intermittent leg thigh pains and wondered if this may be the culprit. My question is what do I ask for specifically and will this endo be aware of the link between low Vitamin d and poor absorption of thyroxine (I hope so, don't want to be appearing to be telling him his job. I am 2 weeks into 2 grains of Erfa after various problems caused by a straight swap from 2 grains of Armour to 2 grains of Erfa which sent me hyper, anxious and feeling grotty. So I dropped right down in February, postponed my endo appointment and have built up gradually as per the files. I know that my bloods will not be a true refelction as they were taken when I was building up from 1 3/4 grains but hope that they will give me some indication of how things are. I had to go for this appointment as I only have a small supply of erfa left and need a repeat prescription. I will not be mentioning that I have had these problems because the endo does not like me to fiddle with my dose. any replies welcome.
