Guest guest
hi, don't know if anyone seen this months Marie , but there is small article in health about thyroid..it is quite favourable, in mentions Dr p and his book, and there is a clinical nutritionist talking about how we need to test for T3 as well as T4 and how the ranges are askew and how there is debate about this and when to start treatment, also in the article it talks about the need to test for stress hormones , cortisol and how this is not available on NHS and many getting private tests done and also how some open minded GP's are willing to take the test results on board. Also in this weeks Sunday Times magazine , there is an article about how people with HIV are struggling with the early onset of diseases and mental and physical impairments associated with old age, and the main one is cognitive..it is attributed to late diagnosis and treatment and also some of the early anti-virals given which were quite aggresive. It mentions how poeple struggled to get the doctors to understand the link and how they were suffering and not all in mind, and one lady who was middle aged and classed, caught it from her cheating husband who worked abroad, and the doctors were quite willing to put her symptoms down to the- ( answers on a postcard ) menopause..!!
