Thyroid and obstetric cholestasis?

Hi everyone,

This may be a bit of a long shot, but I wondered if anyone else with a thyroid

problem was also diagnosed with OC, or if there are any known links between the

two?

I was diagnosed with OC in my first pregnancy and now I am starting to look at

having a second child. I'm reading up on liver function with a view to boosting

my liver to the best possible health before falling pregnant in the hope it

helps OC in the future and have discovered that the liver is instrumental in T4

-> T3 conversion. This has rung alarm bells for me.

Maybe it's just because I'm u/a and had OC but I thought I'd throw the question

out there.

Anyone else have OC in pregnancy and have a thyroid disorder. Any thoughts?
