Guest guest
Hi all, I'm going to hospital to see the gyny specialist tomorrow morning. Sorry this is sort of off topic, but I was wondering if anyone has any good suggestions of the sort of questions I need to ask. I've developed a prolapse, probably bladder/bowel (find out tomorrow) not uterus. At 46 years old I'm pretty hacked off as i understand it's usually something you develop, if at all, later in life. Also, both my kids were c section.Putting on an extra two stone since becoming hypo probably hasn't helped. My gp said that drops in hormone levels, which could be contributed in part to my hypo t (?) as well as my age, can really weaken the quality of the walls of tissue in the bladder etc, leading to prolapse. I am going to ask for the surgery as I'm really being affected by this... it's very uncomfortable and not easy with the kids. If anyone has any info, especially if there's something I should avoid, I'd be very greatful (no really scary stories please, I've been scared enough this year !) Thank you, julia
Guest guest
Hi , When I was taking T4 and really poorly I had a uterus prolapse which was very uncomfortable ( this followed the period pain from H***- so bad OH called emergency doc out on Boxing Day) Laying on my back so everything was in its proper position and doing Kegel excercises had made it pretty much better by the time I was finally called in for op- full hysterectomy- I opted for this as I had suffered enough with period pain and heavy bleeding for years. I was in for 5 days and pottering about nicely after 2 weeks- after 6 weeks pretty much fully recovered and doing better on HRT than on my own hormones. Hope this helps. Do a wikipedia search to see if there is anything there which helps you ask the right questions. thyroid treatment From: juliamoonrock@...Date: Sun, 9 May 2010 10:46:13 +0000Subject: Any suggestions please Hi all, I'm going to hospital to see the gyny specialist tomorrow morning.
