Guest guest
For almost 30 years (I am 69 year old male 268 lbs. 6'1 " ) I've been on variously decreasing levels of thyroxin, 20 of those years the level was 300µg Synthroid. The past four years i've been on Levothyroxin which doctors decreased every year to where I am now 150µg since January. After following this forum for awhile I asked my doctor for the Free T3, T-4 and others as Ms. Sheila had suggested. Medicare or my insurance must've covered the costs as I saw none. All tests came back in the normal range. I had felt an increasing tiredness throughout each day during the whole of 2009 and thought it might be low thyroid but doctor always said it was normal. Then, in February 2010, I read where Adrenals or Iodine could be awry and started sublingual B which perked me up a tiny. Then I read about Magnesium in April and started periodically taking 500 mg citrate and noticed feeling a bit better. Now the mystery; Last week we had misquito bites everywhere so we used Hydrocortisone to stop the itch several nights in a row. Also, I had the rare occasion to use Iodized table salt (have never used it in 40 years)on my freshly grown tomato. I slept real well that night, woke up unusually refreshed. Then, later that day no nap was required, wow! Anyone have any ideas? I want to keep using something but I don't know what. Doctors DON'T seem enthusiastic about shotgun blood tests. Additionally, I had experienced short 4 hour episodes of A-fib (convert themselves) three times a month last year throughout all 12 months, almost cyclical. The last forty days I've had none (Glory be to God) Hey, feel so good I went back to caffienated coffee in the morning!
