Guest guest
There you go, they really don't want to know. The government's relationship with the RCP and BTA are far too important, whether they are right or wrong - what we have to say doesn't matter, whether we are right or wrong. I am now calling for a meeting with the RCP, the BTA, a rep. from the DoH, and reps. from Thyroid patient Advocacy and Thyroid UK as the two thyroid patients organisations diametrically opposed to the 'guidance' as it stands. I am also in the process of writing to Panorama. If our ideas are not there on the Government's web site, they don't have to answer them, do they? Luv - Sheila HI Sheila, This is the link that I used as follows:-http://spendingchallenge.hm-treasury.gov.uk/how-can-we-rethink-public-services-to-deliver-more-for-less/hypothyroidism-urgent-pulblic-enquiry-needed-to-save-money and, this was my message... I would like to strongly urge the Government to take heed of the 250,000 hypothyroid sufferers throughout the UK, who, through no fault of their own, are unable to successfully function on Thyroxine (T4), and need Natural Dessicated Thyroid, or other T3 containing products, to enjoy a normal existance. The real and genuine savings to the NHS, would run into millions of pounds and there would be a lot of very happy and relieved sufferers out there... PLEASE LISTEN TO US!!! Guest guest
Here is your letter Sue. We have now had three attempts taken down. Luv - Sheila Posted by r July 13, 2010 at 12:43 The cost of undiagnosed or misdiagnosed hypothyroidism is scandalous both in terms of money and suffering. It is no coincidence that the UK has high rates of obesity, heart disease, cancer and diabetes alongside the widest range for TSH testing. All of the above illnesses are symptoms of hypothyroidism. Failure to treat the individual in favour of blood test results is a scandal and a complete waste of money. A full review by way of a public enquiry is three decades overdue and is a direct opportunity to save millions of NHS money by tackling the cause and not the symptoms. Additionally lives will be saved and the quality of life improved, which will have knock-on savings throughout the benefits system. Take this simple step and review medical policy in partnership with patient advocacy groups such as TPA. Guest guest
HI SHEILA, I tried to get a message on this site by clicking the link, and I set up my log in details and password. I spent much time then on trying to get my idas across under HYPOTHYROIDISM, but there is a limit of characters, but no means of knowing how many you have placed. On the SAVE I got the box up which you log in your details, but this is stupid as I was already logged in, but on trying several times it would not accept my login, but it also had that it was sorry that it was down for maintenence. Is it possible that they can register what you are in fact typing, or could it be due to choosing the subject of HYPOTHYROIDISM. I have tried this with the FIREFOX BROWSER direct from a link, so will try next time with a copy and paste into explorer next time, but I managed to copy and paste all back into my processor, so it does not take as much time next time round. I will first try and post something regarding ALCOHOLISM to test out our theories. I also had a message come backfrom WRITETOTHEM.COM that I posted your message through asking if I had received any further response which I have not even to my postal letter. Guest guest
HI SHEILA, Can you give me the details of this book by with title and press details. I have also managed to find out that polyps can be caused by a reaction to oestrogen also causing breast cancer. The effects of oestrogen and progresterone came up at my resolution meeting, and the effects of progresterone can cause what DRS then refer to as irritable colon, and that some DRS prescribe progresterone for this. I also had a former GP suggest trying progresterone cream from H & B but this did not help. I have been looking all this up today and this H & B CREAM is not natural progresterone, after coming across SERENITY PROGRESTERONE. I have also emailed them for advice in the treatment of polyps. In my case polyps can become infective and degenerate causing discharge and bleeding, and some women only experiance one, but I have had several including what I feel is another one. I have always been told that any bleeding can cause a water infection which then causes problems to my lung condition. Having to keep having surgery also is a risk with infection, and already have problems with antibiotics. On top of all this all the plastics that are made today with some being a type of oestogen, but THE PILL also has Oestrogen (which I have never taken or HRT). I did however go downhill on Oestrogen cream so this has to be a problem to me. Babies too are suffering from too much exosure before birth to too much Oestrogen with girls maturing too early for them to cope with (which applies to my second Daughter who also has HYPOTHYROIDISM). This means that I must have produced too much Oestrogen or too low on Progesterone. My first Daughter and myself were older and irregular, meaning no problems with too much oestrogen or no problems with HYPOTHYROIDISM, as this can also cause problems with Oestrogen. Baby boys however through too much exposure before birth are born sterile as a result, but in turn it could be nature lending a hand with limiting the population. Too many people have in turn caused Global Warming. From looking into the use of natural progresterone by Serenity the problem is that at first it increases Oestrogen which in turn could cause more pain and problems with polyps, so have sought advice. The NHS only prescribe pills which could prove to be a bigger disaster, so can you correct me if I have anything wrong here. If too that the thyroid gland causes problems with Oestrogen then too much exposure to Oestrogens is causing a worse problem to thyroid patients. Years ago our Grannies and ancestors could cope if ones thyroid was under par, but to cope with additional hormones produced from plastics today can cause havoc with men and women. The governments are also making large ammounts of money from plastics that appear in everything, but also make money out of THE PILL despite the fact that its free to us. Guest guest
The simplification of the website could be because it couldn't handle the traffic. (This seems a common problem with new government websites). When I logged on last week I only added some stars to Sheila's article, but the whole process took me about 20 minutes because each page was taking several minutes to load. This was in the morning, when network traffic isn't usually particularly heavy. It is obviously a lot simpler to look after the website now that they have taken away some of the interactive areas. Also, if they are having silly suggestions like euthanasia for everyone over 70 then I can understand why they don't want to keep them all on view. The MP should then respond within 14 days - and you will get a message asking you whether your MP has responded or not. If you tell them you have not, they then get on to the MP to remind them.
